Featuring the Stevens Hydramon app for Apple and Android smart phones, you are free to take soil measurements anywhere, at any time, without the timre requirements of setting up a permanent soil monitoring system.

With the Stevens Hydramon app, taking soil readings is easy. Simply insert the probe into the soil, and tap on the “Sample” button on the app. The app will display soil moisture content, temperature, conductivity, and dielectric permittivity on-screen for immediate viewing. All data and GPS measurement locations can be saved to the app and emailed as a .CSV for analysis in Excel or other spreadsheet or database program.

The Hydramon app is available for Apple iPhone, iPad, or iTouch, and is also available for Android devices. These devices communicate wirelessly with the HydraProbe using an ad-hoc wi-fi network created by the HydraProbe itself.

If the devices used has GPS available, the location of each measurement can be recorded along with the soil measurement data. Note: GPS is not available on some iPad or iTouch models. The HydraProbe system features a rugged, anodized aluminum housing that contains a rechargeable battery that powers the connected Hydra Probe and built-in wi-fi radio. The HydraProbe also features a LCD screen that indicates battery voltage as well as an on/off switch. The HydraProbe comes with a carry strap of easy on-the-go measurements.
