Description
COBRA NC are high efficiency dry screw vacuum pumps for many industrial applications including chemical and pharmaceutical processes. These models bring together many years of dry technology experience and offer key design benefits:
High suction capacity
between 0.01 hPa (mbar) and 100 hPa (mbar).
Reliable and robust
The asymmetrical screw profile and free gas outlet greatly improve the pumps ability to handle liquid and dust carry over. High corrosion resistance, is also incorporated, due to uniform temperature distribution. The optimised efficiency reduces the thermal load, thus increasing pump service life.
Easy to service
Simple, robust design and the ability to handle the vast majority of chemical gases ensures long service intervals and minimum maintenance downtime.
Application-oriented
Due to different standard versions. Water recirculation cooling or direct water cooling. COBRA NC screw vacuum pumps are available in different versions with ATEX certifications.

Principle of operation
COBRA NC vacuum pumps contain two screw rotors (3) which rotate inside a cylinder. Thereby, the gas is trapped between cylinder and screw chambers and carried to the gas discharge. There is no contact between the two screw rotors and there is no need for additional lubrication. Cooling is achieved by either a recirculating system without additional cooling water (4) or by a direct non-recirculating cooling system with external cooling water connection.

Screw vacuum pumps
COBRA NC screw vacuum pumps have standardised ATEX safety packages for different zones. For you, this means absolute safety of the vacuum pump, the process and your plant. These vacuum pumps can also be modified retroactively for use in another zone.

COBRA NC screw vacuum pumps are available in different versions with ATEX certifications. The temperature class depends on the relevant version.

Cooling Systems
1. COBRA NC 0300 B with radiator cooling2. COBRA NC 0300 B with direct cooling system
COBRA NC screw vacuum pumps are available with two different cooling systems.

1. Radiator cooling with liquid coolant (standard)
The closed loop circuit works with liquid cooled by an air cooled heat exchanger. No external cooling water inlet device required.

2. Direct cooling system (option)
Once through cooling system with direct cooling by external cooling water. Various control systems on this basic cooling version guarantee a safe operation of the pump.
