Los Angeles Abrasion Machine, 110V/60Hz/1Ph.
The Los Angeles test covers the procedure for testing coarse aggregates for resistance to abrasion. The Los Angeles Abrasion machine consists of a rolled steel drum with an inner diameter of 711 mm and an internal length of 508 mm.
The drum is rotated by a speed reducer driven by an electric motor at a speed of between 31 and 33 r.p.m.
Equipped with an automatic counter, the drum of the Los Angeles Abrasion machine can be preset to perform for either a set number of revolutions or or a pre-defined duration. The unit is supplied without the abrasive charge, which has to be ordered separately depending on the standard in use.
