GRIZZLY® is made for compaction control and geotechnical soil investigation.

Mounted on tracks, the GRIZZLY® is all terrain. It can be set up quickly and the verticality of the mast can be easily adjusted by the hydraulics.

The hammering is automatic and its stop is programmed for rod addition, reaching the target depth and refusal.

The on-board data acquisition case allows data recording via the penetration sensor and the blow counter. The instantaneous visualisation of the soundings can be done in cone resistance (MPa),in penetration per blow, or in N20.

The rod extraction system is integrated into the hammering mast (power: 11 t of traction).

The GRIZZLY® is also available without acquisition (visual blow count every 20 cm).

COMPACTION CONTROL

The penetrographs obtained are compared with reference lines established according to the class of the material tested and the required compaction quality. Any anomalies are automatically calculated in accordance with standard NF P 94-063.

The reference lines and the anomaly calculation are available on the GRIZZLY® acquisition case, allowing an assessment directly on site, and also on the Websprint© online application.

Type of anomaly calculation :

  • On the total height (NF P 94-063)
  • Per layer of constant density
  • By backfill or coating area (Fascicule 70-1)

SOIL INVESTIGATION

Interpretation of the penetrographs is the responsibility of the geotechnical engineer who will be able to assess the estimated bearing capacity of the soil but also to establish correlations with other geotechnical tools (SPT, CPT, CBR, etc.).

It is used in accordance with NF EN ISO 22476-2 and NF P 94-115 in soil investigation.

The online Websprint application allows you to create geological sections and compare them with the GRIZZLY® penetrographs.
