PANDITO® Ultra-lightweight dynamic cone penetrometer for self-testing the soil compaction

PANDITO® is composed of

• A 50 cm rod graduated at 10 cm intervals with anvil
• An hammering system with a sledgehammer

The test is carried out by counting the number of blows required to make the rod penetrate of 10 cm (N10).

This N10 is compared to a reference value, depending on the nature of the soil, its water status and the required compaction quality.

Its use and interpretation is extremely simple.

The data can be entered into the Sol Solution DCP mobile application and then transferred to the Websprint© online application if required.

It allows the compaction to be checked layer by layer, as the backfill is completed, and thus optimises its compaction.

It can also determine the risks of accessibility and of getting stuck in construction equipment.
