The SP-0 model mass separator is designed for large volumes of up to 6 '' (152mm).
A sample of minerals may reach up to 400 lbs (182 kg) (ASTM D 75) raw coal samples can reach 525 lbs (239 kg) (ASTM D 2234). Other samples containing large volumes of large particle sizes can be reduced effectively with this durable divider.
Two plates located on either side of the apparatus receive a sampling fragment and an optional elevation carriage is provided to move or dispose of the tray contents. The content of these plates is treated as a single sample. Four trays are included
