Pin Hole Dispersion Apparatus
- Humboldt - HM3930
ASTM D4647
- Used to assess the erodibility of clay soils
This test is used for evaluating clay soils for erodibility by flowing water through a small hole that is drilled through the compacted specimen.
The test chamber has a unique clamping ring for holding the stainless steel mold to the base while compacting the sample.
Included with the chamber are screens, base stand, constant head reservoir, tubing, connections, pipet and a tool for drilling the pinhole.
The end cap has a pilot hole for drilling the 1.0mm (.040") hole through the sample. All aluminum parts are anodized for corrosion resistance.
