12 Inch Cone Blenders

The 12 inch cone blenders are manufactured with all contact parts constructed of 316 stainless steel

The standard configuration includes one, only, stainless steel cone, table top style drive, capable of rotating two 12 inch cones. The drive consists of a 1/3 HP TEFC motor, 110-220 V/1 Ph/50 or 60 Hz, mounted to a 40:1 double ended gear reducer. The operating speed of the cones is 43 RPM’s. The usable volume in one 12 inch cone is approximately 0.30 cubic feet. Additional cones are available as optional equipment. The 12 inch cone blenders are shipped completely assembled and ready to operate.

The efficient mixing volume range in a cone blender is betweem 35% and 75% of the blender’s total volume. Efficiency just decreases if the low range is breached, but stops rapidly if the high range is breached.

Applications and Benefits

The Rotary Cone Blenders are excellent for blending of dry and semi-dry products. A wide variation of material types may be effectively blended, obtaining reproducible results. Overblending cannot occur. The cone blender will effectively blend fibrous materials and powder or granular materials. The 12 Inch Cone Blender is easy to operate, with ample feed and discharge penings, easily cleaned between batches and is economical. Power costs are very low and o operator attention is required while blending is in process.

Construction Details

The cone vessel is comprised of two opposed cones, and a cylindrical center band, with each cone half welded in the center of the band. The center band has one oversize, machined trunion, welded to it such as to provide an axis about which the vessel rotates. The angle of the cone is 45 degrees. The diameter of the center band is the cone blender size. The 12 inch cone blenders have a 12 inch diameter center band.
