Protection of the operator, the product and the environment against microbiological agents and chemical vapors.

Incorporating the latest features available on Esco's NSF listed Labculture Class II Type A2 Microbiological Safety Station, the Class II Type B2 Microbiological Safety Station is designed to provide protection for the operator, the products and the environment during handling where air recirculation is prohibited, primarily due to the presence of chemical vapors emitted during the procedure. Chemical vapors cannot be captured by filters and can be hazardous to the operator if this air is recirculated into the laboratory. Therefore, Class II Type B2 workstations must be connected to an exhaust duct with a fan for total exhaust.
