The Esco Cytoculture® Class II shielded microbiological safety cabinet is designed for use in the radiopharmaceutical industry to protect the operator when handling radioisotopes.

Superior Protection for Radio-Isotope Laboratories

The operator is protected from radiation by shielded walls, a shielded work area and a sliding safety glass. The air enters the workstation through a grille at the front, and passes through a KI impregnated carbon filter which absorbs radioactive iodine. The air then passes through the fan plenum where it is filtered by highly efficient ULPA filters before being exhausted.
