The new MGC can go a full 2 months without a charge, even without ever having to be turned off. Shut down the unit nightly and the battery can last up to 4 months. What’s the secret of the MGC’s extended battery life? It uses low-power photo-metric technology for the detection of the combustible gases (LEL). Instead of draining the battery with archaic pellistor technology, the MGC uses an IR source. This conserves power, so the battery lasts and lasts and lasts. The MGC also eliminates the need to frequently calibrate portable gas detectors. It can go 12 months without being calibrated. That saves time and increases efficiency. Confined Space Kit P/N: MGC-CSK
Everything you need for remote sampling. Includes: Hard-sided carrying case with foam insert, 3ft. calibration hose with quick connect, hand aspirator pump, 10ft. sampling hose with quick connect, 1ft. sampling probe, IR Data Link, and a 0.5 lpm regulator. (MGC detector and gas sold separately)
IR Data Link P/N: GCT-IR-LINK
Connected to your computer by USB, the IR Data Link communicates directly with the Multi Gas Clip and Docking Station to program special alarm set points, user options, as well as, download event logs & data logs.
Vehicle Charger P/N: MGC-V-CHARGER1
For your workers on the go, we have the option of charging using the vehicle charger (12V only).
Calibration Gas P/N: GCT-Q-* (58 or 116)
When calibrating your monitors with the Clip Dock or manually, use NIST traceable gas proved by Gas Clip Technologies in either 58 or 116 liter bottles. Standard Quad gas mixture – H2S/25 ppm, CO/100 ppm, O2/18% vol. and CH4/2.5% vol. (50% LEL).
