Simple to Operate Pump Controller
The Model 464 Electronic Control Unit uses 4 AA batteries and provides 125 psi output. It is fully automatic with preset sample modes from low through high flow settings. In addition, up to 99 unique user-created flow rates can be saved in FRAM memory. The Controller can also be operated manually, which means that even if your batteries run out while you are in the field, you can still obtain a groundwater sample with your compressed air source. The Controller allows faster purge rates and precise low flow control to ensure a representative sample at 100 ml/min or less when sampling for VOCs. Also available, for higher pumping pressures. These convenient boxes are rugged, dependable and suitable for all environments. Quick-connect fittings allow instant attachment to dedicated well caps, portable reel units and to an air compressor or compressed gas source.
Operating Principles
The Model 464 Electronic Control Unit controls the supply of compressed gas to pneumatic pumps. Drive (pressure) and vent periods are cycled to provide water flow. During pressurization periods water is forced into the sample tubing. The Vent period allows water to re-enter (recharge) the pump. Cycle repetition may be controlled manually or automatically using pre-set pumping rates.
