Portable measurement and datalogging of Indoor Air Quality parameters: Air Temperature, RH, CO2, Dew Point and Wet Bulb
Poor air quality may cause tiredness, inability to concentrate, and even illness (i.e., Sick Building Syndrome). This instrument is ideal for measuring indoor air quality in crowded public spaces with potentially high levels of CO2 (carbon dioxide) such as offices, factories, classrooms, hospitals and hotels. The same measurement parameters can also be used to test air from HVAC equipment. Recalls the maximum and minimum CO2 readings and has a user selectable audible maximum alarm. Automatic Baseline Calibration (ABC) and maintenance free NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) CO2 sensor ensure long-term accuracy, stability and reliability. Calibrates to air and has a hold function. Records up to 32,000 data points of temperature, RH and CO2 that can be downloaded using a USB cable and software (included). Comes complete with tripod screw, soft carrying case, 6 x AAA batteries, AC Adaptor, USB computer cable and software.

CO2 Levels | Exposure Effects |
250-350 ppm | Background (normal) outdoor air level. |
350-1,000 ppm | Typical level found in occupied spaces with good air exchange. |
1,000-2,000 ppm | Level associated with complaints of drowsiness and poor air. |
2,000-5,000 ppm | Level associated with headaches, sleepiness, and stagnant, stale, stuffy air. Poor concentration, loss of attention, increased heart rate and slight nausea may also be present. |
> 5,000 ppm | Exposure may lead to serious oxygen deprivation resulting in permanent braindamage, coma and even death. |
