Releasat® culture media are available for monitoring industrial steam, ethylene oxide, dry heat, and chlorine dioxide sterilization processes

Releasat® media is used to culture the MesaStrip in place of the “generic” soybean casein digest medium and provides a more rapid read-out. Each lot of Releasat® culture tubes are quality control tested with appropriate MesaStrips.

Culture tubes of specially formulate soy medium turn a dramatic yellow when spores grow. Tryptic soy broth gives rapid results in 24 hours of incubation for steam sterilization. Releasat® with soybean casein digest broth gives final results in 72 hours for Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Dry Heat, and 7 days for chlorine dioxide (CIO2). The EO/Dry Heat kit contains both Releasat media and B. atrophaeus (10^6) strips.
