- Quinn Process Equipment - QUBA001-10
Designed to recover gold values from jig, table, flotation, sluice, or pan concentrates by using free mercury to form an amalgam for subsequent retorting or reduction to a gold/silver ingot. The units can also be used to cyanide leach high grade concentrates for precipitation. Equipped with a two speed motor to grind at the high speed for liberation or polish clean the gold/silver surfaces with chemicals (caustics). The grinding and polishing can take 6 to 12 hours with a small charge of balls. Afterwards, at the slow speed, mercury is added to accomplish the amalgamation in one or two hours. The last step is to remove the drum contents peripherally through a grate, that retains the balls, to an amalgam separator.
The separator causes the gangue material to be laundered by a rising water column with the excess mercury and amalgam being retained in a collection vessel. Mild steel construction, cast steel tapered feed pipe, gear reducer, chain drive, guard, separator, discharge chute, support stand. For 220-440v/3ph/50-60hz. May be ordered without the discharge chute and/or the amalgam separator. Unit can be elastomer lined or of stainless steel; or modified to suit customer's requirements.
